Keep in mind that in
Ohio, you can be arrested and prosecuted for
Domestic Violence even if the victim
wishes to drop all charges. In
certain cases, such as with Spousal Abuse, it is very
difficult for the victim to drop charges against the
abuser. The Prosecutor can proceed with the charges even if the violence victim does not go
to court. The only one who
can drop charges is the prosecutor because the victim is
simply a witness in a government prosecution.
